Experience the diverse Japanese culture at the annual Japan Market in Leiden, with prints, bonsai, ikebana, kimonos, and modern Japanese influences like manga, anime, and cosplay.

In 2000, the Emperor of Japan and his wife visited the SieboldHuis during a state visit to the Netherlands. In memory of this visit and his walk on the Rapenburg with Queen Beatrix, Japan Museum SieboldHuis organizes the Japan Market every year.

During the market, visitors are introduced to all facets of Japan's diverse culture. See prints, bonsai trees, ikebana and the most beautiful kimonos. Or get inspired by modern Japanese culture with manga, anime and cosplay. Experience Japan in Leiden!
