The studio owner and main instructor ceramic artist Ipek Kotan’s nurturing and hands-on teaching style coupled with her expertise based on her own practice from 18 years of practice ensures that participants gain not only technical skills but also the confidence to experiment and develop their own artistic voice in clay, even if they have never touched clay before. Clay Studio Leiden fosters a vibrant and diverse community of international professionals from over 26 countries and 5 continents, where students can connect with like-minded ceramic enthusiasts and enjoy not just studio time but also outings together such as concerts, dinners, mini golf, karaoke and even ceramic shop visits.
