Pride Leiden is finally happening

Good news for the LGBTQ+ community: this year, the very first Pride Leiden will take place in the city. The event will be held on Saturday, September 2, and will include a boat parade and live music.

The Programme

From 15:30, the canals in Leiden will be colored in all the colors of the rainbow. The boat parade will sail through the historic city center and end at 17:00 in Beestenmarkt, where an open-air music event will take place and various artists will perform. In Beestenmarkt you will find food trucks where you will be able to enjoy delicious food.

The event in Beestenmarkt will finish at 22:00. The party will then continue in music venue De Nobel, where you will be able to dance to the music of different DJs until the last hours.

Important: if you want participate in Pride Leiden with your own boat you first have to register. To guarantee safety, you are not allowed to enter the parade route without registration. You can find more information on Pride Leiden website.
