Curious to know what are the distinctive educational qualities that international schools yield? How can we further map out and share this unique knowledge within Leiden Kennisstad?
A current explorative study will reveal the pros of primary international education in Leiden. With the results of this research, LEF hopes to facilitate knowledge exchange between international and Dutch schools and therefore improve education. The research will mainly focus on international primary schools and schools of international origin (i.e. weekend schools).
This magazine is the result of the research of Farah Nikijuluw, the driving force behind this initiative. Over the past year, Farah has explored international education in Leiden. This magazine reflects her findings, with a specific focus on primary education.
During her research, Farah has built a network of connections with educational professionals who contribute to international education every day. This magazine is not only a result of her dedication but also an effort by the LEF community to share this knowledge and encourage and explore new collaborations with international and national schools in Leiden.
The conference on international education that took place on November 1 at the LEF has already created a fertile ground for knowledge exchange about the various initiatives in international education. The magazine serves as a platform to share the insights that Farah has discovered during her research, school visits and conversations with various players in the international education landscape.
“Enjoy, discover and let's exchange knowledge,” encourages Farah, “this magazine may mark the beginning of new and fruitful collaborations!” The magazine provides a source of information for education professionals and stakeholders interested in promoting international education in the region.
